Hello Friends and Family,
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25
Try to imagine moving away from home, away from what’s familiar, away from friends and family, into a new and exciting place alone. That is the reality for many freshmen who come to college every year. We spend a great deal of time at the beginning of the year reaching out to freshmen. Our purpose is to find students who want to grow in their relationship with God by offering them an opportunity to plug in to a campus Bible study.
After speaking with parents as we helped students move in, it was clear they had mixed emotions. They were proud of their sons and daughters, but also nervous to see them leave the house. Many were eager for them to plug in to groups like the Navigators where they can continue to grow in their faith. Some students were eager to get involved while others it seemed were not too eager to do what their parents hoped for. Please pray for the students at UNC as they begin to make decisions that will have an effect for years to come. Pray that God will lead students to Him and that they will make wise decisions regarding who they associate themselves with.
God has continued to bless the ministry at UNC. Pictured above are 47 of the 53 students and staff on the leadership team at our annual Leadership Retreat. At the retreat the students helped plan the next semester as well as receiving training in how to lead Bible studies and other events. Please pray that God would bless the studies they lead on campus and that they would be bold as they seek freshmen to join their studies.
On a personal note, we have enjoyed visiting with many of you this summer and hope to see everyone in the next year. Thank you for your financial and prayerful support!
Kayla continues to bring great joy to our lives as she grows and develops from an infant to a toddler. Our prayer is that she would grow and develop well and that she would follow God her whole life.
Also one final note, Ben will be doing some major repairs to our cars soon. Please pray that all of the issues (which are many) will be resolved and that God would bless the cars with longevity and that they will continue to be reliable as we drive up and down the front-range.
Thank you for your prayers, and as always please let us know how we can pray for you, we would love to be in prayer for you. God Bless!
