For Spring Break UNC Navs traditionally go on a trip to different parts of the country to serve those who are in need as well as share the love of Jesus with them. This year we have an incredible opportunity to go to South Padre Island, TX and share the love of Jesus with the college students who are there partying. South Padre Island (SPI) is a traditional hot spot for college students on their spring break go to party. The island is approximately 5 miles long and 1 mile wide and will be packed with 80,000 college students. We will take 45 students and partner with a ministry called Beach Reach. This ministry has been working on the island for thirty years reaching out to college students. Some of our duties will be to run a taxi van service with the vans we take down and pick up college students who need rides and take them where they need to go while having a couple of our students in the back talking with them and sharing the love of Christ with them. Another responsibility is walking the beaches and starting conversations with students with the hope and goal to share the love of Jesus with them as well. Beach Reach employs a sand sculpture who creates themes from the Bible in the sand, which allows us to engage in spiritual conversations with the students there. Last year 70 college students gave their lives to Christ during Spring Break! What an opportunity we have to meet students and love them like Jesus loved those who He was with! We have many students going and would like to ask people to pray specifically for individual students. If you are interested in praying for a student please contact me at 720-212-3135 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your prayers and it is an honor to serve with you!
